List of my Top 10 Favorite Characters in Suikoden 2

TOP 10
MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS IN SUIKODEN 2:

1. Riou is the adopted son of Genkaku, and step brother to Nanami. As a young boy he was made fun of because he was an orphan, and spent all of his time with Nanami and his best friend, Jowy. As they reached their teens, he and Jowy joined the Unicorn Brigade of the Highland Army; where his skill in martial arts, taught to him by Genkaku, made him a formidable fighter. After the Highland Army massacred the Unicorn Brigade and blamed it on Jowston's Army, he escaped and joined Viktor's mercenaries. Eventually, he ended up becoming the leader of the Dunan Unification movement, and led them to victory. After the Dunan Unification War, he disappeared along with the former Highland King, Jowy Blight (Atreides) and his sister, Nanami. He wears a circlet and shoulder pads that were given to him as a young boy by Genkaku, and fights with a pair of tonfas.

2. Killey hails from a tribe that lives in northern Falena. His crimson clothing symbolizes the legendary red bird in his tribe. He has been tracing the Sindar for a very long time, from when he was in his teens. His abrasive personality and unwillingness to disclose his intentions garner him few friends and many enemies. After the war, somehow misinformation given to him by Lorelai got him locked in the dungeons of Falena for three years, after which he escaped. He made his way up to the [City-States of Jowston:Dunan]. During the time of the Dunan Unification War, he joined the Allied Forces to interrogate Alex on his findings in the Sindar Ruins near Muse. Alex told him what his treasure is, and Killey understood what Alex meant. However, he still continues to search for the elusive Sindar, heading to [Kanakan] after the war's end.

3. Genshu used to be a sword-for-hire, living as an assassin. However, his brother, who wished Genshu to quit his dishonorable line of work, disguised himself as Genshu's target. Genshu failed to recognize him and killed him. Realizing that he killed his own brother, he quit his profession and decided to take his swordsmanship seriously by honing his mind. He has an obsession with powerful swords, and is particularly obsessed with the Zodiac Sword (Star Dragon Sword).

4. Rikimaru is a swordsman in search of vengeance. Someone who was dear to him was killed by someone and he is looking for the killer. However, he ran out of money and ended up starving at Ryube. He was helped by Riou and then joins Viktor's mercenaries to keep himself fed. He continued to serve in the Unification Army and was often seen at Hai Yo's restaurant. After the war, he returned to kaku.

5. Gadget is a mechanical entity created by Juppo. It travels with Meg and even though it is a machine, it has a tough time being patient with her. After the war, it travels towards Crystal Valley with Meg and Millie. It has the ability to locate itself using a satellite global positioning system, and could turn into "Super Karakuri Maru"--thanks to the combined efforts of Meg, Tenkou, Jeane, Adlai, Toni, and a few others.

6. Millie is a highly eccentric girl who owns an eight-eyed groundhog called Bonaparte, a monster that she captured in its nest and took as her pet. She uses a boomerang in combat. No one knows where she came from or why she was wandering around in Ryube Village. She joined Viktor's Mercenaries after Riou helped her find Bonaparte, but she insists that she joined to play with everyone. She could sometimes be seen poking bonaparte in the eyes or sleeping inside Bonaparte's mouth. She is secretly a powerful sorceress with a rare affinity with the Blue Gate Rune. She traveled to Crystal Valley with Meg after the Dunan Unification War.

7. Sid is well known for his odd behavior. He was unanimously disliked in the Winger section of Two River due to his odd habits. He is known to bury the bones of fishes he has eaten to make graves and scares the local children with his incrediblly morbid tales. He always made fun of Chaco and in fact used him as a toy. He became bored one day and decided to leave on a journey. However, he only left to come back and live in the sewers, unnoticed by other wingers. After Chaco joined the Allied Forces, Sid also joined to Chaco's dismay. He continued with his odd habits while in Riou's Headquarters. After the war he continues to use Chaco as a toy.

8. Bob owns a strange rune which keeps him in human form; but when the power of his rune weakens, he turns back into werewolf form. His village of lycanthropes was destroyed by Windy. He wishes to be a part of a community, and often watches others having fun from behind trees and walls.

9. Shin is a wandering swordsman from the [Southlands]. He was hired by Alec Wisemail as a bodyguard for his dauter, Teresa. After Teresa became Acting Mayor following her father's illness, he continued as her bodyguard. However, due to the fact that everyone in Greenhill liked Teresa, Shin never had to protect her; and his skills were put to the test only after the 2nd Highland Army, led by Rowd, attacked Greenhill. Shin doesn't talk very much, but he is very serious about his swordsmanship and takes great pride in his sword, the Ray Tarantula. He uses a sword-fighting technique called the Eight-Slash Sword, which allows him to use his Spider Slay attack.

10. Sasuke a young ninja from Rokkaku. He was taught the ways of the shinobi from Mondo along with Kasumi. He has just entered his adolescense and has a crush on Kasumi, which makes him act strangely in her presence. He was born as a high-tier ninja, but he is still lower in rank than Mondo.
